SITE–SIDE–SIGHT WALKS is a research and art project about the Indigenous rock drawings of Aruba. In collaboration with archaeologist Harold Kelly of the National Archaeological Museum Aruba, researcher and glass artist Bernadette van der Klooster visited rock drawings sites and translated her research into glass objects, art installations, textual reflections and video documentations. This exhibit is at the National Archaeological Museum until the end of December 2027 and will host several public engagement moments throughout the year.

The project has also developed into Living Heritage – Passing Knowledge in Aruba, a five-month educational art program in which young Arubans explore Indigenous rock drawings, cultural heritage and artistic expression through research, dialogue and working with hot glass and SIGHTwalk, a private cultural experience connecting visitors with Aruba’s Indigenous heritage.
