Hydra Arrives in Aruba: Exploring Our Underwater Cultural Heritage and Marine Ecosystems

The Inkfish research vessel Hydra, equipped with specialized capabilities for underwater cultural heritage and marine research, will arrive in Aruba’s waters tomorrow.

On board are Aruban archaeologist Harold Kelly and ecologist Oriana Wouters. Over the coming weeks, the team will map Aruba’s seabed, conduct eDNA sampling, and carry out other research to provide valuable new information and insights into Aruba’s underwater cultural heritage and marine ecosystems.
